Velaska Wilhite

My heart goes out to each of you in Velaska's family. She was a true matriarch, with a loving heart and gentle nature. I have many fond memories of her and my mother's friendship and the many happy times that Terry & I spent at her home while growing up. She was like a sister to my mother, and Elaine and I were like sisters as well. Praying for the family and that God will ease your journey through this sorrow. Love, Dyann Hyland

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during their grief. My mother was Velaska's cousin. I remember being at Velaska's home as a child and watching her fixing hair. Love you all and will be praying for God's peace at this time of loss.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Velaska. It has been one year since the King family, saw her at our Daddy's service March 4, 2009. She was our cousin, neighbor and beautician when we all lived on Mentor St in Dallas. Josephine enjoyed talking with her on the phone so very much.
