Send FlowersVelda Mae Jones, age 93, of Norman, died Wednesday, January 11, 2006.
She was born on April 23, 1912, at Caddo Gap, the daughter of Calvin J. “Tip” Horn and Temperance Welch Horn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Jones on June 24, 1973; her son Floyd Jones; and her parents.
She was a member of the Norman First Baptist Church.
She is survived by three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2006, in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
Visitation will be Friday, 6 PM to 8 PM.
