Velda Walker

VELDA WALKER, age 87, a resident of Irving, Texas since 1986, formerly of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, died Monday, January 7, 2008 at an Irving nursing center.

Born August 9, 1920 in Bridgeport, Texas, she was a member of North Dallas Fellowship.

Preceded in death by her husband, Victor Gilley Walker in 1985 and son, Phillip Anthony Walker, Velda Is survived by daughter, Mary Lois Posey of Irving; son, Victor Wilford Walker of Beaver Lake, Nebraska; eight grandchildren, Michelle Renee Angus, Gregory Phillip Walker, David Anthony Walker, Mark Allen Walker, Wendy Kaye Hudson, Victor Shawn Walker, Nathan Maurice Walker and Toni J. Walker; eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Service 10 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2008 at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Bailey and Randy Posey officiating. Graveside service 12:30 p.m. at Bridgeport Cemetery.
