I met Velera 31 years ago when her son, Cody, my husband now of almost 30 years brought me home to meet his mom. She made the best enchiladas that day and was very kind to me. I had the provilage of taking care of her her last 4 or 5 months- we really got to know one another very well. She had a brilliant mind and was so beautiful, even at the end.
