Read MoreIn 1966 I got my first "real" job at Akron Dime Bank. I was 21 and a bit scared. Sometimes I sat with Velma and she was so kind and thoughtful. The last I worked with her was the 70's. She was a beautiful person and I will always remember her trying to make me feel better when I was $90 short and felt as if the world had ended. My prayers and thoughts for her family.
