Not sure what to say?

It is with deep sadness that my dear cousin, Velma, has gone ahead of us, but I´m confident that she continues to brighten every life she touches. I was unable to attend the service either in person or online, but I was with you all in spirit. Her sweetness touched so many, and it´s clear that she was deeply loved. Rick, Kay, and family, much love to you all.

I write these words from thousands of miles away but very close in thought. My dear cousin Velma was, indeed, a ray of sunshine. I don't think I ever saw her without a beautiful smile on her face. And she brought that sunny disposition into every room she entered. I was so grateful to be able to attend her service today online. It was a most fitting memorial and she would have been very gratified by the lovely and well deserved praise she received. Kay and Rick, your eulogies and...

I have called Velma, Mom, for many, many years. Her daughter, Judy, and I were best friends since the first grade. Mom and my Mom ( Ann Smith) were room mothers together and remained good friends throughout their lives.
I spent many nights at her home playing with Judy and our dolls. I would love to her Mom hum and sing with the radio in the mornings while fixing us breakfast.
My husband and I both loved her and had several wonderful visits at our home in Grand...

Velma and my Mom (Lenore Reichard) were the greatest friends for many, many years. They worked together for decades at Gresham High. Velma wrote the sweetest poem for my parents 50th wedding anniversary that we included in the party scrapbook so it will be saved forever. She was also instrumental in my Mom getting to meet her Trailblazer crush, Maurice Lucas, back in the day. Velma and Bob were such great friends to my parents and family. They are all missed so much but I know they are all...

I used to work downtown Gresham. The ladies that worked at the high school would go for walks down Main Street and stopped in Silk Bloomers. We got to be close friends over the years. She was the best and my favorite. You will be in my heart. Chris Wryn
