I am saddened at the passing of my dear friend. The St. Peter Claver family continues to be a strong one and we will all morn our friend's passing.I knew Velma for most of my life and even though we hadn't spoken in a while, our S.P.C. antics will always make me smile. My condolences to the family. I will pray for God's peace that passes all understanding. God bless.

I worked with Velma in the Cafeteria at the
Honeywell FM&T on Bannister Rd. here in K.C.Mo. I remember her teaching me how to make CloeSlawDressing and it was very good.

Mathis and Jackson-Small family, you have my sincerest condolences. Velma was my Velma Jean and I was Homey. I can't tell you how much her passing has affected me and will affect me. The Word of God tells us when we are absent from the body, we are present with the Lord. Bernadette, find comfort in knowing that Velma is resting in the arms of Jesus and is reunited with other family that have gone before her. Cherish every thought of her and focus on the "good times" that were afforded to both of you during your lifetime.
