I will never forget Velma! I had her for a 5th grade teacher at Newaygo and always had the respect of all of her students. Then when I married in 1968, who was our neighbor but Velma Matson. I could never bring myself to call her "Velma", she was always Mrs. Matson to me! A great lady! Patti (Croft) Linderer, Newaygo

Hard to believe it's been a year! I always had such a high respect for her. She was always Mrs. Matson to me after having her as a 6th grade teacher. I had a very difficult time calling her Velma when I was a married adult living next to this dear lady! I know she is missed! Patti Croft Linderer
