Velma was a great friend to my mom Hazel Whitney, especially in the years when she could no longer drive. My mom loved going out to Red and Trudys and other places with the ladies. Velma was so kind to pick her up and take her places and was patient with her when her mind became confused. She was a true friend and our family will always remember her fondly.
