Velva Aline Cassadine

CASSADINE, Velva Aline - Of Flint, age 28, died Friday, March 31, 2023 at Hurley Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held 2pm Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.

Visitation 1pm Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Velva was born in Flint, Michigan on December 9, 1994 the daughter of Heather Jones. She attended Carman Ainsworth schools and developed very close relationships with friends that continued throughout the years .Velva loved being a mother to her son, Viran, as it was most important to her. She loved music and dancing. Velva was quite a character, always making people laugh. Her family was very special to her.

Surviving are son, Viran Amir;

partner, Lucky Chahal;

parents, Heather and Donny Jones;

siblings, Joshua and Sheri Ransom, Prince Cassadine, Miranda Cassadine, Melina Cassadine, Donny Jones, and Princess Ransom;

grandmothers, Velva Winkel and Janice Jones;

her biological father of Flint;

and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Ransom and sister, Monica Ransom.
