Not sure what to say?

I worked under Vembu as an intern at the USF Ocean Marine Prediction Laboratory from 2002-2005. Vembu was a great mentor, kind soul, and passionate about advancing the field of oceanographic research. He left a deep impression on me that has guided my professional ethics ever since. I am fortunate to have known him and will remember him fondly.

Hamsa - I am so very sorry for your loss. You will be very much in my thoughts and prayers.
If there is anything at all I can do please let me know.

Vembu was always a source of inspiration, knowledge, and sincere kindness. People always smile when they mention his name. I will remember Vembu fondly.
Mark Vincent

Dear Hamsa and family,

I am so sorry to hear of Vembu's untimely passing. He will always be remembered as generous, thoughtful, and kind, a neighborly friend to everyone he met and also a dedicated professional and role model in the oceanography community. I loved Vembu and consider myself lucky to have him as a friend and colleague. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Hamsa.

Vembu was so full of life and it is such a shame that he was taken so soon. He helped me so much through my internship and I would have never made it in St. Pete without him. Even though he is gone, he will live on through every life he touched because everyone that met him was better for it.

Dear Hamsa, really weare all shocked to hear the news. i donot know how to console you. we all will pray to give you, appa mama mami and others to give strenth to face the reality.-Maithili manni

I was shocked to hear of Vembu's passing. I had interacted with him many times over the years professionally, but was really taken with how friendly and kind Vembu was. Each time we spoke he would always ask about my family. Rest in peace my friend. Your kindness and friendliness will live on in the people you knew and touched.

Very sad and shocked to hear of this tragedy. Kumar was such a wonderful and warm person. We met him and Hamsa during our recent visit to Florida and were awed by their grace and kindness.
I pray that God holds your family close and gives you the strength to get through this.

Dear Kumar,
You will be missed very much. You are such a kind, friendly, gentle human being who made everyone smile. I don't have the words to describe all the good qualities in you. I miss our childhood days together in Sahupuram. May your soul rest in peace. Mangala Vinayaka should give the strength and courage to your parents, Hamsa and your extended family to recover from such a great loss. Our family misses you very much. We are very sorry.
