Not sure what to say?

I remember Dad taking us on summer road trips back to the Minnesota homestead where he grew up about 15 miles from the Canadian border. To make the most of limited vacation time, Dad and Mom would often drive through the night while Nancy and I slept in the back seat. For the first trip back, Dad had taken some wood and turned the back of the ‘41 Chevy into a wall-to-wall bed for Nancy and I to use for play and sleep. Those were the days before seat belts. Yellowstone Park. Glacier Park....

My dad, Vatsek Parda, was an honest and caring person. He loved his family and his extended family, and was loved by them. He will be dearly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and members of their families. He played a big part in our lives, and living without him will be a big adjustment. We take solace in memories of the happiness he brought us. We take solace in knowing he had a long and happy life. As we enjoyed life with him, so also he enjoyed life with...

It is our pleasure to have met Vatsek and to witness the great love and respect for him shown by his lovely family.

I met Vatsek in about 1966. He was a fine man who really loved his large family. I always liked and admired him.

I greatly appreciate the fine man Vatsek was, and the wonderful grandfather he was to my five precious children. Love to all, Marilyn Parda-Lowry

I have so many fond memories of my grandpa. He was such a huge part of my life and was always there for me when I needed him. I will always remember him waiting to walk me home after school, rain or shine. What a dedicated grandpa! I am so proud to have had such a wonderful man as my grandpa. He will be very much missed by everyone who knew him. Love, Heather Parda - youngest grand-daughter

What a great, loving man. I'm proud to be a part of this family. I'll miss talking about the Mariners with Vatsek.

Love,
Greg Lyman
