Not sure what to say?

Mrs Venise Jones-Poole, My 3rd grade teacher at Hawthorne. At the age of 38 I still remember all the song and time tables you shared with your students. Your love for music has inspired me to teach my son through tunes as he grows. I will never forget you and will always cherish the memories of a child with a great leader for a teacher! You're dearly missed.

SHE WAS HAD GREAT TALENT

I am very sad to learn of Venise's untimely death. Apparently the angels needed a dynamite soprano to join them. I have such fond memories of Venise singing "Amazing Grace", "Summertime" and the duet "Bess, You is my Woman Now" (with Wes Baker) in the beautiful and resonant St. George's in Vladimir, Russia. In 1988 Venise brought her high professionalism and good spirit to the Seattle Peace Chorus as it toured the Soviet Union. I directed the Chorus at that time and felt extremely privileged...

To the Family of Venise:
My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family in this time of sorrow. I knew Venise from Roosevelt High School class of '74 mostly from choir and her being the lead in the musical "My Fair Lady" in 1974. She always had a gracious word and encouraged you to always do your best. The world has lost a beautiful voice but the choir in heaven has gained one. Thanks for sharing Venise with all us.
