Read MoreI am so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are in my heart and prayers. Met Vera when we moved to Des Moines from Illinois in 1958. She was an executive sec'y at Chevrolet Motor Division at that time, and later became the business manager. Also, she lived close to us and we became good friends. Vera was a warm and friendly person. She will be missed and always remembered.

Met Vera while helping at des Moines food pantry. Called her "Ms. Miscellaneous" since she sorted all of the "gourmet & out of the ordinary" food items! She was quite a lady! Very intelligent, interesting & spoke her mind, God love her. May she rest in Heaven & maybe organize the "miscellaneous items"!
