vera bates was my Mother. No one knew her as vera, they knew her as, Mom, or Grandma. Her family was her life, and those who met her, soon became her family.She was reknowned for her cooking,(which is the cause of my weight prob. today). Everyone wanted to eat at Moms, her lasagna especially. My thanks go out to everyone who took the time to leave a message for our family. it comforts me to know that she was so loved and remembered. To all the people that took the time to share with us the fond memories you had of our mother, we would like to express our graditude for your kindness and love. God Bless all of you and remember death is just one breath away.

Vera's legacy was her family. She poured all of her lifes work, love, monitary goods and her prayers. The bible teaches that all earthly goods will be burnt up. Only the eternal ( the spirts of His people) will go on forever. Vera will be waiting for those she loved. Vera loved you so you would seek Him. God Bless & Keep all her family members she will miss you too!

We are very sad about your loss. Vera was truly a family oriented person. She always seemed interested in everybody. Its true you all were blessed to have her but also she was blessed to have such devoted family members with her to love her and care for her through her illness. God bless all of you. After losing my own grandma not too long ago I understand how special and important grandmas are to the world. Vera was like a grandma to me and we will all miss her dearly.
