Not sure what to say?

Sorry to hear of Vera´s passing but what a wonderful, rich life she had. Wish I had known her better,

To Ken and family,
Ya'll will not remember me but I remember you from the Stiller family reunion. I am Susan Stiller Kirtley, Ernest's daughter. I only had the opportunity to visit with Vera a few times, but she was always a joy to visit with. I only wish I had had the chance to know her much much better. Have been praying for your family

"Heidi" was a beloved babysitter to our six children (now in their 20's and 30's) She was sweet, gentle and fun - always had a twinkle her eye ! She was also strong in character and showed tremendous courage at a very difficult time. Heidi taught me how to pump my own gas for the first time! I tried to tack her down a few years ago with no luck.Sorry I didn't find her. Peace and love Heidi

Ken, and all Family, Vera cared for me when I was young. Some of my earliest memories included understanding that she is a friend, not only my babysitter. Although we were 50 years different in age, I remember the quiet understanding that I felt when we enjoyed her Irises. Vera raised so many bulbs and many of them were a rich blue-purple. As a child, I thought that her cookies were the best; as an adult I appreciate that Vera is a gentle, loving and rare soul. Be comforted, although we will...

Vera cared for me when I was young. I liked her Irises and she taught me of these and more with her kind ways. She was my Grandmother-Friend.

Our deepest sympathy to you, Ken, and your family at the death of your mother. We are in Colorado visiting Kelly and her family and Peggy Jensen let us know that your mother died. You will be in our thoughts and prayers during the days ahead.

Ken, I just wanted to express to you what a great an loving mother you had. I meet Vera while my mother was at Vis Christi Village Ridge. I spent many hours talking to Vera , what a lovely lady, after my mother went home I just had to keep going and seeing my friend. My life was truly blessed by knowing Vera I will miss her sweet sprit. Thanking you for sharing this great lady with me.

Vera babysat for our children who are now in their 50's. She
was so kind and I remember she used her babysitting money
to travel. I thought that was wonderful. Once she shared
some hybrid iris with us. I truly enjoyed knowing her.

Vera was such a special person. She was the first babysitter my twins (Adam and Cory Lukens) had in fall 1980 when they were a month old. I am glad that she had such a long quality life as she deserved every minute.
