MRS. VERA MAE KEMP, Houston, Texas, passed from this life December 11, 2006. Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2006 from 7-9 P.M. Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 11 A.M. Both services will be held at New Bright Star Missionary Baptist Church 4402 Idaho, Rev. Michael Nichols Sr. presiding. Vera is survived by her husband Lorren D. Kemp, 2 children, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grand, family and friends. Interment Houston Memorial Gardens.

I am going to miss you so, Aunt Dear--you know you were my favorite. All through my childhood I said I wanted to be just like you when I grew up. That never changed. You were such a good role model. I will always cherish the good times growing up and visiting you in Hempstead as well as the pearls of wisdom you gave me as an adult. I know you're up in heaven playing the piano and singing and giving praises to God with the angels--save a seat for me.
