Not sure what to say?

Aunt Vera was the youngest sister of my father, Walter Lewke. He always thought highly of her and I fondly remember her visits when we were kids on the farm. She was indeed a very classy lady.

Although I had little personal contact with Vera while growing up, I remember my father (William Lewke) made many positive comments about her. I know he always appreciated the advice and assistance that she provided him many years ago.

I remember Vera at Dianne and Jim's house for holiday gatherings and family parties. To me she represented class and elegance. Always a joy to talk to. I know she will be missed by all who knew her.

Aunt Vera was my Godmother and I remember her as a very special and beautiful person. She was kind and generous. I am sure that she will live on in the hearts of many.

Aunt Vera was a very special lady, in the true sense of the word. She was such a gracious hostess, making everyone welcome in her home. She was always willing to put us up when we were in town, happy to show us around her part of the world. She was beautiful and talented, a good mother and a great aunt! We will all miss her.

We have lost a lady --- not merely a woman --- of real class. She could overcome social difficulties the way that Superman could leap tall buildings in a single bound. We will not likely see her style and grace again in our lifetimes.

We were saddened to learn of Aunt Vera's passing. She was a lovely lady and a special aunt. We wish to express our sympathy to all her family.

Aunt Vera was such a beautiful lady inside and out. I wish we could have seen her more often, and I'll cherish the times we did.

We are so sorry that we can't be with you for the celebration of Vera's life.
Today I was thinking of going to Vera's with my mom and dad for Joyce's wedding. When we got there, Vera was cutting out poison ivy from the holly, trying to get the yard ready for the reception. Uncle Herb and my dad joined in and worked way beyond their endurance trying to keep up with Vera.
As a result, I was driving on the beltway following Vera and Herb to the church. They must have been talking for all...
