Vera Age 91, passed away May 21, 2017. Surviving are her children, Gloria (Charles) McCracken, Roger (Amy Shapiro) Mingo, Paul (Margaret) Mingo, Jack Mingo, Julie (Keith Williams) Mingo and Mingo (Cheryl Henderson) Reynolds; sister, Elaine Pierce; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Vera was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Glen; parents, Albert and Yerda; and her sisters Ruth Johnson and Elenore Richardson. Vera's family has arranged for a memorial service to be held on July 22nd, with visitation at 10-12 am and a memorial service at 12 noon, at the Lutheran Church of the Shepherd King, located at 5300 W. Maple, in West Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorial donations to the Lutheran Church of the Shepherd King, Doctors without Borders, or the Sierra Club. Mrs. Mingo there are no words to say but wonderful woman. I will remember all the wonderful things she did for my family. She was good friend with my grandparents and when we came alone she welcomed us with open arms. She always had a beautiful garden. The flowers she took care of year to year were wonderful. She gave me some daisy to plant up north and ever year when they come up I think of her. My dad love coming home from a short trip up north to find a box of fresh tomatoes on the...

In my memories Vera was a perfect mother, a wonderful caring person. I carry that memory in my heart today and the days ahead. I do miss her.
