On behalf of the members of the internet community known as Shihtzu-L, I would like to extend our sincere condolences. Vera and her 'trio' were active and beloved members of our list and will be sorely missed. Her last post was on Nov 9, 2012, when she offered her condolences and prayers for another list member who had lost their furkid. She and her friend "KD the Wonder Dog" joined us sometime in 1999, and were fixtures on the list, offering words of encouragement and wisdom to all of us....

I was a student of Vera's in the 90's and was going through some tough times as a single parent of 3 adolescents, one of which I brought to school with me while she was enrolled in independent studies. Vera took her under her wing - the bond she had with my daughter and the influence she had on both of us will never be forgotten! My heartfelt condolences to Vera's family and friends. I knew Vera through collegiate softball. I coached at San Diego Mesa College and we had many years together in the "softball world ". She was such a joy to be around. Much to young to leave us. She will be truly missed!

so sorry to hear about vera, i remember her is school, was a sweet gal, way to young for sure.
