Age 84, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at her residence. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Glenn Tatterson officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice or charity/Church of one's choice. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Vera was born in Swartz Creek, Michigan on January 1, 1928 and was married to James Wilson for 38 years. He preceded her in death in October, 1984. Vera worked for AC Spark Plug for 30 years retiring in 1983. Vera loved to sew and enjoyed her time at the cottage with family and friends. Surviving are, daughter, Lucille and husband David Taylor; Grandchildren, Kimberly (Tim) Telgenhof, Kelly (Jeff) Plunkey; Great Grandchildren, Troy Nasser (Cory), Taylor Nasser; Step Great Grandchildren, Tim and Gabriel Telgenhof; and the light of her life, Great Great grandchild, little Ethan Nasser; 2 sisters, Marjorie (Denver) Moore and Bernice Frey; 1 brother, David (Betty) Hill; Your condolences may be shared with the family at swartzfuneralhomeinc.com

Thank you God for blessing me with the most loving, kind, generous grandmother. She was the most important person in my life. She cared for me,my children and my grandchild throughout our entire life. I will honor her memory by living my life treating others as she always did with kindness. She will be greatly missed. I love you grandma
