Veral B. Thorn, 76, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020, with his family by his side. Veral was a husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He leaves behind his wife, Jerri, his children Jeff, Robert (Misty), and Amy Lovendahl (David), his 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers. Preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

Veral was born June 12, 1944 and grew up in Riverton, Utah along with his 7 siblings. He graduated in 1962 from Bingham High School. He began working in construction as a young man for years and eventually owned his own business for 29 years. Veral was always a very hard worker. If there was a job to be done, he would be there to do it.

In his spare time, he worked on machines in his shop and he loved to garden. Veral was always a busy man. He never stopped working and helping his family and friends. He was always giving and would do anything for you and it didn't matter what it was or when it was.

He was an amazing man who lived a wonderful life. If you knew Veral, he was a very sarcastic man who always had a smart remark. He was someone that you would always remember. He was loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. He will be dearly missed by us all.

Not sure what to say?

Its been awhile now, but I still hope Veral’s family feels comfort
& peace with his leaving before us. What an incredible man he is.

It's been a long, long time, but I still remember how kind Veral was to me. He even let me use his car to take for my driving test at the DMV. I just had to be careful that the car didn't sound or race away while I took my test. Sending a thank you hug to Veral & family.

I am so sorry for your loss, Amy and I was always together as kids and Veral was like a second Dad to me. Very sweet man, my heart goes out to the family. Very special people to me and the best of memories, that I'll treasure for life.

Uncle Veral was a wonderful person. He will be missed.

Very sad another fabulous Thorn is gone. Love to all of you

Veral was very kind and respectful. Years ago, he even let me drive his car to get my first driver's license test. One of my friends was dating Veral, but he always was so nice and considerate to me so I didn't feel left out. Sending love & compassionate thoughts to his family.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. It's been years since I've seen Veral, this makes me very sad. I've always had good memories of him from riding the bus to school.

Veral is an example of what a man should be. I am so sorry for your loss.

In loving memory of my uncle Veral, He was a great person and very respected in our family and around his home town. My heart goes out to my aunt J, Jeff, Robert, Amy, and family.
