Not sure what to say?

Oh my gosh! It can't be true! Verdi White Senior is gone! I learnt how to play Marco Polo in his families' pool.I was a new bride of a couple of weeks when Dick, my husband and former companion of Verdi, his son, took me to meet everyone. That's when I heard my first "You're looking good" There is no such thing as a bad hair day around him.He could charm a cowlick straight!
Later on, we stored a few things in the Whites' garage til we could get settled. When we came back to get them,...

Dear Verdi, Pam and family. I just found out today about your Dad. I am so sorry. He was a wonderful man and it is very obvious where Verdi gets many of his endearing traits. May God bless and be with you both. Our Love Always, Bruce and Lindy

Dear Family:

We were sure sorry to hear about Uncle Verdi. Our children really fell in love with Verdi when we traveled with him and Aunt Elvira to Mexico years ago. Darlene and I would love to have been there with you at this time, but we are serving here in Maine as missionaries. Please know of our love and support in our absence. What a joy it is to be able to share our knowledge of the Savior's plan for us. This day of saddness for us is a day of joy for lots of Whites who...

Dear Family,
One of my favorite memories of my first year of marriage was being in the Grandview ward with Uncle Verdi, My Grandma, and many other relatives! My Husband Russ and I taught the 8 year olds in primary, Uncle verdi was the Blazer leader. I will never forget the "extra" parts Uncle Verdi made up to the primary songs;teaching them to his 11 year olds, and then the glee on the boys faces when they sang them! It is a blessing to have this family legacy, and I love you all. I can't...

I'm looking good Verdi, and don't you forget it! I have always loved Uncle Verdi's sense of humor and the great way he made others feel. Kim and I very much enjoyed the funeral and would like to echo the sentiments expressed there. Get the Rook Cards ready I want a re-match someday.

We were sad to hear about uncle Verdi's passing. We have so many wonderful memories connected to Verdi,Elvira and our cousins. We loved growing up with all of you and sharing the joys of living close together. We love you all. We hope to see you again in June 2008 after we complete our mission in the Central Europe Area.
Love - Jay & Sally

Dear White Family..I have known your dad/grandfather for most of my life and always found him cheerful, interested in everything around him and full of fun and life. I too will miss him.

I know my grandmother, Gwen (White) Wimmer was singing with Verdi today! What a great life of service my great Uncle Verdi lived. I look forward to the eternities when we, as a musical family, will all be re-united in song.

I want your whole family to know what special memories I have of Uncle Verdi from living in the neighborhood. I loved hearing him make up a harmony part to a song or hymn, and his smile always would light up my day! At Grandma Gwen's house I was the recepient of several competitive card games under Uncle Verdi's watch. I will always have fond memories of him and your whole family
Lots of love to you all,

Wendy Wimmer (Gerrard) Jay's oldest
