I was so sorry to learn of her passing. I had recently learned where she was living and planned to visit her this week. Too late! May she rest in peace.

Verla Gean was my mom's (Shirley Squires) best friend growing up at East High and at the UofU. I remember her fondly when she would come home to visit. We would either go to the Miller's house, or she would come to our house. What an extraordinary person. I have many pictures of her as a young woman with my mom and also correspondence from her in Iran. She had a long life. My condolences to the family.
