Not sure what to say?

Aunt V and me at the Family Christmas Party 2005

To dear Auntie V, who always took very big bites - especially out of life! We will miss you so much.

Gretchen, Lynn and Fred, we are so sorry for your loss, she's going to leave a very big whole in our lives.

And mom (Juaine), I'm sorry that your sisters are gone. I can't imagine how sad that must be.

Know that we loved you very much, Aunt Verla, and always will. Thanks for being you.

Love, Alaine and Todd

To Gretchen, Lynn and Fred - I was so sorry, and shocked, to learn of the recent death of your mom. She was always such a life force to me, with such a zest for living and strong spirit. She was a good friend of my (step) mom Virginia and our dads such good friends too. Now 3 of the four of them are gone. I feel really sad about this. I send you my warmest wishes and hugs. She will be greatly missed. Fondly, Nancy McDaniel

Dear Lynn, Gretchen, and Fred,
My heart goes out to each of you during this horribly sad time. I have to smile when I think of your mom because those thoughts bring me back to the 60's and countless wonderful memories shared at your Hinsdale home. Your mom was Pure Class and touched the hearts of those who knew her as no one else could. She will be dearly missed! You all are in my prayers.

My everlasting love and grattitude to my Mother.
I was blessed to have her with me everyday for her last months. She taught me more in that short time than in my whole life about the power of love, patience, humor and detirmination. Her strength and humor stayed intact thru all her illness, it was amazing to watch over and over, total strangers meeting and falling in love with her . She had the gift to make that happen to all of us. I will be grateful forever I had the opportunity to care...

Dear Gretchen, Lynn, & Fred,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Aunt Verla was an amazing woman and I feel blessed to have known her. Remember that she will ALWAYS live on in the hearts of those she touched, and she touched many. We will miss her. God bless you all and know that she is at peace in a better place. Love, Lynn, Mike, Mark, Kalyn & Matt Kiehl

My dearest sweet Aunt Verla...the sweetest memories you have left with us all! You were always sweet, kind and generous, and always had a hug for all of us. I was lucky enough to spend many overnights as a young girl...sleeping between you and Uncle Fred. You both always made me feel special and one of a kind...exactly what both of you were. I have memories of cartwheels in the foyer at 827 with cousins..and huge family get togethers at your home. As I grew older, my memories of you have...

To Gretchen, Kit, Willow, and the entire Regnery family: I cannot imagine how monumental a loss it is for all of you to lose Verla. What a wonderful lady. My deepest sympathy and much love. I send wishes of peace and comfort for your hearts.

The Benet Academy family extends its heartfelt sympathy and prayers.

Fr. Jude Randall, O.S.B., President, will offer a mass for the repose of Verla's soul. May she rest in peace.
