Not sure what to say?

Randy, Val, Jane, Laurel,
This is surely an end of an era. Dot and Verlin Simmons have been a part of my life since before I can remember. My mother knew them at Wasatch High and they were our first neighbors down on the farm. Val was my first "boyfriend" and I remember walking to school with him. I last visited with Verlin when Dot was in the care center. I am so glad to have had your mom and dad in my life. Missing them and Love you all.

It's been a long time but good memories stick around. Thus my fond memories of the Simmons family. Let me offer my heartfelt condolences to Randy and the rest of the Simmons family. Verlin will be missed.

Verlin was my assistant scout master or varsity coach, I can't remember for sure which. He was a great guy and was always good as a leader with young men. Now at my age (76) I can't remember the camps or activities we spent together, I just remember him as a caring and devoted leader who would take the time to council and help a young man when he needed some guidance and direction in life.

With fond memories of 30+ years as neighbors, friends, and admirers of a beautiful garden. Bryce and Joanne White

What a wonderful tribute to a great man! He left an incredible posterity. We express our sincerest thoughts and prayers to family and friends. We know he will be missed! Love, Ryan and Rebecca Stowers

Verlin and Dot have been a fantastic team, each of their children and grandchildren have been guided, tutored and richly blessed through the love , inspiration and dedication of these two. As have many of us who have known them and been benefactors of their great service. May all the family be continually showered with the Love of our Savior throughout your lives and especially during this time of grief. Verlin really is one of those great guys you think of as ageless and could compete and go...

USU 22nd ward was the best with Bishop Simmons. He loved life, he loved having fun and lots of times we (college students) had a hard time keeping up with him. He played a significant role in my life so many years ago. As much trouble I caused...he still had patience for me. I had the opportunity to visit him about 10 years ago...and he had a fancy 300 (i think) and he took us to dinner and man he still drove FAST. He was a great man and will be missed. Love and prayers of comfort to...

He always was a happy soul. He didnt only take boys into the Wind Rivers he also took a bunch of beehive midairs and laurels there too. I remember him telling us that it never rained on them and he had never seen a bear up there. It rained the whole time we were up there. We were just waiting to see the bear. He stayed up the last night we were there and warmed rocks in the fire to keep our cold wet sleeping bags Warm for us. To spite the weather we had a great and eventful fun time with him....

It was Mr. Simmons always admired his and Mrs. Simmons yard on my walk up to my grandma Kohler's.Such great people. Loved playing in the canal by their house.
