Vern Drehmel

Gone back and forth with pain of posting-I was 9 when I started seeing Robin...didn´t know they shared an office but always remember him always coming out to say hello while I waited. In 46 and have never forgotten them either of them and remember them fondly

I send my deep sympathy to you. I was saddened to learn of Vern's death. I am so grateful for Vern's compassionate counsel and support through the darkest chapters of my life journey! Though he maintained appropriate "clinical boundries", his caring, empathy and humanity were very present. He was a major positive influence in my personal and professional growth.

Vern (and I believe you were also involved) counseled my son for a period of time after my divorce in 1967 and Aline Bier counseled my daughter. I have never met Mr. Drehmel, but I read his obituary in the San Francisco Chronicle and was truly moved by his story. I have been going through a very difficult time after the loss of my husband and I was very moved by his courage and his belief in teaching others and most importantly his belief in hope over fear. I am so sorry for your loss, I am sure you miss him greatly.

We were privileged to know Vern. He was an inspiration to us for his smile, warmth, humor and tenacity. Our deepest sympathy to Robin and his children and grandchildren.
