Verna Joyce Theiss Everett
1932-2015
Born in Porter, Texas November 7, 1932. Verna Joyce Theiss Everett passed away peacefully Monday April 27, 2015. Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charles Everett Sr.
She is survived by son Charles Everett Jr. and wife Janeice; son Craig Everett and wife Brooke. Grandchildren Trey Everett, Taylor Everett, Tyler Everett, Kaitlyn Everett and Connor Everett. She also had one great granddaughter Madison Everett.
She had a very successful career working for and retiring from the Houston Chronicle. Always looking to help those in need, she volunteered what little spare time she had to Meals on Wheels delivering meals to Seniors in need. She had a heart of gold and was beloved by all that knew her. A very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed bird watching, cultivating flowers, cooking for her family and trips to the beach. Many thanks go out to the family members that stood by her side faithfully and lovingly in her final weeks and days. Her journey is now complete in reunion with her soul mate.
Memorial service will be held at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home May 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
