Verna Roberts Shepherd

Dear Shepherds,
I was sorry that I didn't look at the newspaper on Friday. I missed the notice of your Mother's passing. Judy was a dear friend when we were at the U. We took many classes together, and spend many hours visiting. I visited Judy when she was in the hospital shortly before she died. I remember staying in your home overnight one summer when we drove Judy to Delta for a visit. I was also in your home for Judy and Gary's wedding. Sweet memories of all of you...and you...

Good-bye to one of my dearest childhood friends.

Verna was such a big part of our lifes. I remember being in her home so often growing up in Delta. We were always welcome (even on Christmas morning as they opened their presents!)
I will never forget her kindness to my Dad after losing our Mom. She loved to bake and always shared her baked goods when I was visiting him. We loved her cinnamon rolls.
The Shepherds are a great family and wonderful friends. We are saddened by the loss of Verna. Our love to all.

My thoughts are with your family today. Your mother was a lovely woman who was always kind and gracious. I will cherish the time I spent in her home. She was so proud of her family and your many accomplishments. My deepest sympathy is with you. Love, ErmaKaye
