I got to know Vern at Jennings Center when my mom lived across the hall. I would visit with her and share her treats that her sister would send from California. Vern and my mom were buddies and did many activities together. When my mom passed, Verna was a great source of strength for me. Dear Aunt Verna or Aunt Vern as we always called you. I have known you for 61 years of my life when you and Aunt Em (Mary) moved next door. I eventually married her nephew Fred, and we had 2 beautiful children Jason and Jessica. We actually lived next door to Aunt Vern and Aunt Em for a year or so with my parents.
