There is a lot I can say about this great man, and that´s the great Verne Gagne! I grew up watching AWA Wrestling, I went to the matches with my Father, me and my Dad were at Wrestlerock 86! And Verne got his 15 minutes with the sheik in the steel cage! Sadly I lost my Father to Alzheimer´s last year, he was 78. Verne Gagne was probably THE best wrestler of his time. He made many fans in Rockford IL. He will be eternally missed.

I have a picture of Vern lifting me over his head after a wrestling match that my grandfather took me to : I was 10 years old . I'm now 72 years old , and that is one of my favorite pictures !!!
