Mr. Duffy was cherished by many of us from Pontiac Northen. I graduated in 1981 and through the years kept in touch via letters. We send our condolences and good thoughts. IF YOU HAVE A SERVICE IN THE SPRING PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS I AM SURE MANY HUSKY ALUMNI WILL ATTEND. MR. DUFFY WAS A GREAT PRINCIPAL AND LEADER AT PNH AND WAS VERY APPRECIATED.

My name is Richard Johnson of Metamora, Mi and Naples, Fl. I graduated from Pontiac Central ( first year as Central) in 1959. MR. Duffy was my councilor in the Vocational Education area. He was the person responsible for me being hired into the Consumers Power Co , Pontiac Engineering Dept.. Mr. Duffy will always be remembered by me as a great man. Went to see him after dropping out of school and joining the Marine Corps. Just being discharged and attending classes in Flint, Mr. Duffy persuaded me to go back to Pontiac Northern, making up the two years I needed for a high school diploma. From there I went to college and have had a very successful life.

I wish I could have thanked Mr. Duffy for the great advice. May he rest in peace and God bless him.
