Not sure what to say?

Always loved and always remembered. He was my very first pastor. He was like a grandfather to me. I will always cherish him in my heart. He truly planted the Word of Truth in my heart and helped along with my parents and grandparents, lead me to the cross where I met my Jesus.

It's 10/31/13 & I'm justing learning of the Rev's passing. He is truly missed. As an infant he dedicated me, and a young child he baptised me, and as a young adult he married me. He was more like a grandfather to me and anything else. Leta (grand-daughter of Evelyn Lowry: church secretary til 1972)

Rev. Taylor, the words says "a great man leaves a legacy," and that you have done. Thank you for being my pastor when I was a little girl. You were a true man of God. RIP
Sincerely,
Renee Anderson

Rev. Taylor baptized me over 40 years ago. What a wonderful man of God. He will be truly missed. My prayers are with his family and the Fourth Baptist Church family. God Bless and Keep you all.

To the Taylor family and Gwen and Beatrice,
My memories of Dr. Taylor go far back to childhood in Noel and Hewlett, VA. My grandmother (Mrs Edna) and his mother (Grandma Laura) were good friends and church workers. He was well-revered by all.

To the Taylor Family, you have our deepest love and prayers. Dr. Taylor was uniquely called for his special assignment, he let Jesus work with and through him thus impacting countless lives. Regardless of where you lived in Richmond, VA or surrounding areas before internet or cell phones Dr Taylor was known because of his reputation and character dealing with people! God Blessed his life and he blessed ours. Continue in love and faith knowing what your father believed and lived, "Only What...

To the family of Dr. Robert Taylor.
May God bless you all in this time of sorrow.

Dr. Robert L. Taylor assisted my Pastor the late Dr. Benjamin W. Robertson in baptizing me in June 1959. He later sat on my Ordination Council as I was ordained as a Pastor in 1973. He also was one of my Professors at Richmond Virginia Seminary. He invited me to preach at Fourth Baptist Church. I shall never forget him and First Lady Taylor. He was one of the most eloquent Preachers of our time. I praise God that He is now with the God that he dedicated his life in preaching about.

Rev. Taylor baptize me during my youth at Fourth Baptist Church. I've always admired his love for God and outreach ministry. He will truely be missed. May the family find peace in God's grace.
