Not sure what to say?

A lovely man, we were friends at Biola College.

Vernie was a great guy and a sailing partner. Rest in ease my friend.

I feel so out of the loop that I didn't know about Vernie's passing until now. I worked with Vernie at LAX and he was my team lead. Some of my favorite memories were Halloween of course, Volleyball on Wed nights and being on the Indian Textile team where we all put on saris. Vernie was one of a kind. My condolences to Joyce and his remaining family.

Me deepest sympathy to his wife and family. I worked with Vernie many years as import specialist. I will always remember him as a calm and peaceful guy. May he be resting in peace.

I was lucky enough to meet Vernie (and Joyce!) through our shared passion for vintage Halloween memorabilia. He was quietly witty and a superb listener. Given some of Vernie's physical challenges in the last years, he remained indomitable and possessing of an unflappable nature. I will - and do- miss him.

Dear Joyce, Rob and I are so sorry for Vernie's passing. We will miss all our fun times together. We will especially miss his wit, humor, intelligence, wisdom, and just the fun of being with him. Hoping to see you soon. Love, Dianne and Rob

Vernie was a very kind, caring man who loved his wife and life. He will be sorely missed, especially on Halloween when he truly celebrated and made great cider. May he RIP.

Sorry to hear of Vernie’s passing
I remember him from West High Class of ‘67. He was a very nice fellow
