Vern guided the Board of the Japan Society with great vision and energy. It was a pleasure to work with him. He was an outstanding role model of clear communication, organization, charisma and graciousness. He mentored me from a career in international non-profits to working in international personnel and training in the corporate sector. I am forever grateful to him. Deepest sympathy to his family. May your fond memories bring you peace.
