I did not know Vern, but worked with his wife,Jean, for many years at SRCS district office. Jean, I was sorry to hear about this. Sending good thoughts to you and your family.

I remember Mr.Calsy as the principal of Lincoln Elementary School.They don't make 'em like that anymore.

I lived across the street on Manhattan Way from Vern. Knew him for 15 years and feel privileged to do so. Since I was into gardening Vern was always around to offer suggestions. And we loved wine in addition to his incredible model ship building. I remember having a model in my closet that I never touched for years. I gave it to Vern and I think he finally built it. We shared a lot of travel stories but more than anything he was the kind of neighbor who you cherished for his spirit and good...

Vern was a wonderful member of the Redwood Empire Model Shipwrights. His ship models were inspiring.

I was one of many of Mr. Calsy's sixth grade students at Steele Lane Elementary and remember him to be kind & fair to all as well as a great teacher! I wish his family the best and know the better memories will soon replace your current void.
