July 1, 1943 - Nov. 16, 2015 Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Jones & Son Funeral home in Richton, for Mr. Vernon Capers, age 72, of Ovett, who died November 16, at his residence. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Jones & Son Funeral Home. Bro. Charles Hanchey and Bro. Colon Rowell will officiate and burial will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery. Pallbearers are Keith Morris, Andrew Harvey, Mitchell James, Charles Bunnell, Brent Walters, Gene Guined and Colon Rowell as alternate. Mr. Capers was a U. S. Army veteran of Vietman, a member of the Ovett Masonic Lodge and a member of Christ Church of Laurel. Survivors include his wife Margie Capers of Ovett; sons, Jamey (Jennifer) Capers of Fort Pierce, FL and Jason (Sirlene) Capers of Laurel; sister Jean (Leroy) Harvey of Moss Point; grandchildren, Judah Capers, Issac Capers, Sara Ella Grace Capers and Jameson Capers.
To the Capers Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
