Not sure what to say?

I just learned yesterday that Gus had passed in 2021. I asked a friend of mine how he was doing and was told the news. Sad to hear it even a few years later. Gus and I Boxed for the Worcester Police Gang Unit Boxing Charity event back in 2008. We remained friends after and often joked about the Match when Id go to the court to transport the inmates back to the Jail. The Probation officer would always come down when I was there and throw a white towel between us and say Gus has had...

So saddened to learn of the passing of my friend & co-worker Gus. My deepest sympathies to the Chester family. Gus was a good guy, who made me laugh and you were a great co-worker! May you be at peace.

May the memories of you son be a comfort to you now, and may it help to know that our prayers and thoughts are with you in your sorrow.

I am so sad to hear of Gus’ passing. I grew up in same neighborhood and met him every morning at bus stop and rode the bus with Gus and laughed with him always! He was a great kid!!!!

To Pat and Gus and the Chester Family. I am so saddened to hear of the loss of your son Vernon. Remembering you, dear friends, with a heavy heart. God bless and keep you! Karen Ambush Thande

To the Chester family. I was saddened to hear of your loss. Although I did not know young Gus. From what I have heard and read. He was quite a guy. I pray that our Heavenly Father will give you peace and comfort during these difficult times. Jim Gray

Dear Pat & Gus: I have thought of little else since hearing of the loss of your son. I can only recall a handful of times that I had the pleasure of being in his company, but the bright smile and contagious laugh are etched in my memory - Gus most certainly had a light about him. I don't have words to fully express just how sorry I am for your loss, but I hope that the warmth and love that has always surrounded the Chester family helps to comfort you today and in the days ahead. With...

Vernon Augustus Chester III, I will never forget you and will cherish every moment we spent together forever in my heart. I hope that you know just how much you meant to every heart that you touched throughout your journey. May God be with your family and friends at this very sad time and comfort them in the same way that you so freely comforted others, never holding anything back and never expecting a thing in return. You were a gift to this world and you will forever be sadly missed.
