Vernon "Gus" Chester, III

The passing of God has come to a complete shock to me. I have known Gus and his family since they moved to Shrewsbury when I was in elementary school. We had a lot of good memories together playing for the Shrewsbury youth hockey team and going ice skating at the skating rink on lake Ave in Worcester and all the numerous times we hung around together. I just learned yesterday that Gus had passed in 2021. I asked a friend of mine how he was doing and was told the news. Sad to hear it even a few years later. Gus and I Boxed for the Worcester Police Gang Unit Boxing Charity event back in 2008. We remained friends after and often joked about the Match when Id go to the court to transport the inmates back to the Jail. I am so sad to hear of Gus’ passing. I grew up in same neighborhood and met him every morning at bus stop and rode the bus with Gus and laughed with him always! He was a great kid!!!!
