Not sure what to say?

I did not know Vernon, but his wife Audrey is the daughter of my grandfather's brother Edward Miller. My grandfather was James Oscar Hamilton.
My prayers are with all the family.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

Sandy, Vernie and Jeanie,
We are sorry to hear of the loss of your father. He was a great guy who I am sure is walking with the lord now. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and I am sure he will be sorely missed by many. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love Susan and Ron

We had the utmost appreciation, respect, and love for Vernon Cross. He served the Lord, his family, and this city faithfully and leaves behind a rich legacy. I first met him when I was just a very small boy - the fact that he was a Police Officer and a War Veteran made him heroic to me then, and I've believed that ever since. Thank God for his life and his family. Our love and prayers are with his family.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Garland, Sissy and Russell.

My condolences to the family Of Vernon Cross. I first met him when he was a lieutenant with the Police Department, and was very impressed with him. He was one of the few higher-ranking officials whom you could really talk with and not feel as if he was looking down on you. He was my friend as well as my supervisor, and I will miss him more than words can tell. May God give him the peace he so richly deserves.
