Vern was one of the best people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. When I was in High School, I worked for Vern cleaning the Beach Elementary. He was tough and demanding and wanted things done a certain way but I learned to do a job and do it correctly. He also had enough confidence in me that he co-signed for me to get a car. I will never forget him and know he is in a muchy better place. I will truely miss him.
