Not sure what to say?

Vern was a great guy and friend! I didn't get to know him until late in his life! He was an amazing man and always had a comeback for any situation! He will be missed by many people!

Pam, Mike and Jimbo, So sorry for your loss of Vern. He always greeted and treated everyone as family. When discussing issues, he had a unique way to cut to the chase, leaving everyone with a smile on their face. You should have a vault wonderful of memories. Thanks for sharing him with me.

Mike, I am sorry for the loss of your father. He sounds like he led a very interesting life and I am sure he will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers will be with your family during this time of sorrow.

I got the opportunity to work with Vern during my term as Mayor of Meadowview Estates. I found him to be a caring individual willing to give more than he'd get. He love humor and shot straight from the hip. You couldn't help but like him. He was a man's man. We shall all miss him. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Vern was the first person to welcome me to the complex. He and Ed were always helpful when I needed something. We use to talk about how Martha was doing and you could see how hard it was on him. It was good to see him out with Ed keeping as active as he could, but you could see him failing but he always had a smile and kidded with you. He always talked about his cat. Vern will be missed. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

Sorry to hear about Vern's death. He will be missed. I worked with Vern at Brown & Williamson in the late 1960's and 70's, then reconnected with him at the Elks Lodge #8. He was well liked and respected at both.
