It is always difficult to lose a loved one at this time of year, but there must be some consolation in that Vernon lived a long and productive life. My recollections of Vernon are when she was a young girl and not yet married living with her parents as neighbors of ours on Elm Street. She and her family were wonderful friends of ours. Our thoughts are with the family.
