I was nine years old and living in Fresno with my parents Steve and Lillian (Fierro) Santos when Vernon was born, and I saw a lot of this sweet tempered little boy , because my folks and "Gabby" and Gloria Maggi partied together a lot together. Hard workers, they knew how to enjoy life. Vernon's outlook and temperment were a credit to his wonderful and dynamic parents, and to two wonderful clans. If there is a pool table in Heaven, Vernon is cleaning house.

Sorry to read that Vernon passed away.

I went to Grant Elementary School in the 50s. Jim Maggi was in my classes.

I recall Vernon and the sisters and the Flynn family around the corner from the Maggi house; corner of Jackson and 20th Streets.

The Maggi's and Flynn's were in the Cub Scouts organization.

I believe Linda took an evening business class at Silver Creek HS back in the late 70s.

May Vernon's spirit...
