Forever in my heart Uncle Vern. When I think of you I will always remember the smile on your face and the sound of your laughter! Some of my best memories were times I shared with Vern and Ina. Wish I could have been there today. Love you all.

Vern was a great friend to my parents, Milly & Meril Chartier, and he was a
great friend and partner to his wife, Ina. He watched over her, and made sure
all her needs were met after her stroke, and was on top of the situation, when
she had her stroke, and immediately got her to the hospital, saving her life. As
his health problems slowed him down, he was so concerned for Ina, and wanted to make sure her needs would be taken care of in the event of his
death. He made sure they found an assisted living apartment at Porter Place,
that they planned to move into, and he could feel confident she would be taken
care of there should his life end. He looked after Ina with all the love, and all
the strength he could muster. He was a man of fine character, and the joy
and fun he brought to his wife and friends is worthy of remembering always.
It was such a pleasure to know Vern, laugh with him, and include him in the
list of people that an individual has of people you knew who had integrity,
kindness, and responsible in his entire life. He made a difference while he
