Uncle Vernon was preceded in death by his only sister, Donnie Mary McDonald Luther, my mother as well as his first wife, Mae Ellan Tullos McDonald. Uncle Vernon was dearly loved by his sister Donnie. I have fond memories of staying with my cousins Cherris and Cindy at their home in Ville Platte, LA. Uncle Vernon took us camping at Old River where he taught us to water ski and fish. Vernon was a joy to be around. He was a blessing to me and our church family. He was a faithful, moral and upright example of Christ. He was blessed by his wife and adored her and responded in such a loving and devoted manner. Always respectful to other individuals. I pray for Elizabeth in the loss of this admired gentleman.
