Not sure what to say?

When I passed through Bakersfield, I looked forward to seeing Uncle Vernon. His dry wit always amused me. I was aware of his love for family and me. Miss him.

Vernon was the uncle who I remembered as the doll giver. Real hair and eyes that opened and closed. An uncle who loved me. My heart has an empty spot. I will miss him.

I am saddened to hear of Vernon's passing. I remember him well. I served with him in the Seabees for 4 Years and worked with him on a Division of Highways survey party on the Grapevine.

We will miss one of our own. As it is often stated you can choose your friends but not your family. Vernon was a keeper. He set a fine example for us as a cousin, uncle, and father. He will be greatly missed by all who were related to him as well as lifetime friends. Susan Conrad Wannebo and family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. We will miss our dear Cousin Vernon at our Perry/Borden Family Reunions. Cara and Dick Perry of Livingston, Montana

I am so glad you were a part of my life. You will be greatly missed. We will always treasure your homemade presents you gave our family. We love you and will miss you so much.

Holly, our prayers and thoughts are with you. Daisy, Donald and Chica send their love to Yoda, too, since he's probably wondering why mommie is so sad.

Vern, dad, grandpa, as you are known to us, your extended family. We are so grateful that adopted us into your heart and family when we first moved here back in 1991. We love you and will miss you, especially on our camping trips. Rest in Peace.

Dear Holly,

Please accept my sincere sympathy. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
