Not sure what to say?

My Condolences to the Merritt family. Vernon Merritt Jr. is the reason I have been in the radio business for 35 years and counting. I started as a high school student intern at WDZZ, and have always admired Mr. Merritt's vision, drive and work ethic. You were a true mentor and I thank God our paths crossed. Rest in peace Sir.

The Merritt family are in my prayers. Meshelle your Father and Grandmother were very classy, kind hearted people that I will always remember. I Thank God for our friendship and hope to see you soon.

My condolence to the family of Vernon Merritt. I worked for him at the start-up of his radio station WDZZ. Vern was a very kind and generous man with a wealth of knowledge. He gave me my start in radio, he said you have to have a passion for radio to stay. I found my passion for radio and I'm still in the business. Rest in peace Mr. Merritt!

I knew Vernon when we were at Flint Central HS1959to 1961. We were good friends. He once loaned me his car when my car broke down, so I could drive to Detorit to get Tiger game tickets. I had not seen hi, since hs graduation. Vernon was the kindest of souls, a gentleman's gentleman, the best of what a friend is.
