Not sure what to say?

To Vernon´s family, My deepest condolences on your loss. Vernon was a year ahead of me in dental school. He served as a big brother and mentor to me as well as other students of color. I remember him as a man of great patience, wisdom, and moral character, far beyond his years. No matter what the clinical situation, when we sought out his assistance he would always say "it´s going to be okay." He was always right. I know he will be dearly missed, but because he´s in God´s loving arms,...

I wish I had the perfect words to bring peace and understanding to sad hearts at times such this one. I never met Dr Reaves but I met someone he is in part responsible for giving it to the world. His wonderful son Damon ! An intelligent, kind, hard working , creative , fun man. Did I mentioned handsome? Thank you Dr Reaves! I know you were a great man, look at your son. May you Rest In Peace and be a light shining upon your family. My most sincere condolences to you dear Damon and your...

Vernon was such a kind man & so professional at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA. We all rotated in the Operating Room heart room & enjoyed working with him.
My deepest sympathy.
Sincerely, Cathy Diana Wiglusz RN

I am a colleague of Damon's at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I have never met Vernon, Damon's father, But I can say from reading about him, that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Damon is a joy to work with, to laugh with, to be inspired by and my heart goes out to him and the entire Reaves family in this profound time of loss.

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

Damon and Family,

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear father, husband, grandfather. I know the gift of the beautiful family your dad and mom created will bring you all comfort and solace in the days ahead.
With love and compassion,
Teacher Roz

For the family who adopted me with no questioned asked, much love is being sent your way. So many times I remember the experimental food creativity and the love given. Alongside of the laughter mixed with protection. Truly Dad Reaves will be missed greatly. I hope so many memories of laughter and that you all heal in in time. Much love to my adopted family.

I have worked with Verne for 14yrs at the VA. He was such a gentleman, always kind and professional, and I will miss seeing him, very much. He was very proud of his family, and always spoke of them. God bless.
