We were so very saddened to read about Vern's death - although we didn't see him often, each time was an absolute pleasure. I know that he will be sorely missed. To the Spence family, I send my deepest sympathy, I had the pleasure of knowing Vern in the early 70's when I worked with him in Santa Rosa City Schools.
