I remember Vernon as one of the older scouts in BSA Troop 49 in Danby when I joined, around 1966. I have good memories of a week at Camp Barton.

I was a year behind Vern at IHS. He was a good athlete but even a better person. He treated people with dignity & respect. A total class act. My heart aches for all those he leaves behind. May your memories never diminish. Mine haven't.
